Who We Are
The Victorian Association for Sessional Kindergarten Educators (VSKEA) is an independent, educator-led professional association operating within the Victorian early childhood sector.
Founded by experienced early childhood teachers and educators, VSKEA exists to strengthen policy literacy, empower educators with practical advocacy tools, and amplify the voice of professionals working within sessional kindergarten settings.
We advocate for educators’ professional recognition, provide accessible resources, and publish structured sector updates. Our work supports educators to confidently engage with policy, funding and workforce developments that impact their practice.
Our Mission
VSKEA’s mission is to ensure the sessional kindergarten model, and the professional expertise at its core, remains respected, sustainably resourced and understood within the broader early childhood landscape.
We do this by:
Providing plain-language policy analysis and sector updates
Curating practical tools for professional advocacy and workplace engagement
Supporting professional development through structured resources
Creating a credible, independent voice for sessional kindergarten educators
